The White House appears to have taken the nomination of NASA administrator Jared Isaacman, saying President Donald Trump will soon nominate a replacement.
The White House did not explain the move in a statement, but White House spokesman Liz Houston said “It is essential that NASA’s next leader is perfectly aligned with President Trump’s first American agenda.”
Trump In December he said he was nominating Isaac Man.a billionaire entrepreneur who has never been in the federal government as an administrator for NASA.
Isaac Man has gone to space twice on a commercial mission he funded himself.
“NASA administrators will help us carry out President Trump’s bold mission to lead humanity into space and plant the American flag on planet Mars,” Huston said in a statement.
“It is essential that NASA’s next leader is perfectly aligned with President Trump’s first American agenda, and President Trump will soon be releasing a direct replacement,” she said.
News Outlet Semafor was first reported It was expected that the White House would draw Isaacman’s nomination on Saturday.
This move comes as voting for nominations for Isaacman may be very close. The motion to solidify regarding his nomination to end the discussion is eligible for Monday’s vote, according to the Congressional calendar.
