The blue-origin rocket carrying Katy Perry and historic all-female crew landed safely on Monday after a flight of about 10 minutes.
Katy Perry touched the edge of the universe. Wendy has just touched her nerves.
In one of the strangest brand-versus-celebrity moments, Wendy’s fast food chain smothered her spicy shots with pop star Katy Perry just after she completed her blue-origin suborbital spaceflight.
The drama began on Monday, with Perry returning to Earth after an 11-minute journey to the Stars, aboard a Blue Origin flight alongside Lauren Sanchez, Gale King and three other women.

The milestone moment was word-of-mouth on social media. Then came Wendy’s.
Wendy’s X account has been removed under a pop crave post celebrating Perry’s return.
“Can I send her back?”[?]”
The post hit like a chilly slap and they didn’t stop coming.
Twisting Perry’s breakout hit, “I Kissed a Girl” and Wendy’s X account ocked the singer for kissing Earth when she was tied up by the ship of blue origin.
The rebound wasn’t that late. Fans quickly called out to punch down the burger giant rather than the usual way to roast the rival chain.

By Thursday, People Magazine reported that Wendy had the opportunity to walk it. Instead, the brand took a scenic route around the apology.

But not everyone loved the fever. Sources close to the situation told people that the post had crossed the line from cheeky to cheap.
“Wendy wasn’t kidding. They made a choice,” the source said.
“This was no harmless joke. It was a billion dollar brand to use the platform to publicly lightly mean women. When billions of dollars of brands join, it’s irresponsible.”

Even Sanchez, Perry’s fellow space traveler, revealed that she was not impressed with the trolling.
She said she was happy to give people a behind-the-scenes look at Wendy.

“I want them to come to blue origins and see thousands of employees who don’t just work here, but they put their hearts and souls in this vehicle,” Sanchez said. “Come with me. I’ll show you what this is. It’s really eye-opening.”
The Wendy’s have not tweeted anything more about the issue.
