A second man has been arrested on suspicion of arson attack targeting property related to Prime Minister Kiel, according to Metropolitan Police.
The arrest of the 26-year-old suspect at Luton Airport on Saturday was accused of a Ukrainian citizen, Rome’s Lavalinovich, which sparked three fires this week, including one fire at the Star House.
Counterterrorist police are leading the investigation. Lavrynovych, 21, was charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger his life. The second suspect, who has not been appointed by investigators and has not yet been charged, was arrested for similar reasons, police said.
“The 26-year-old was arrested at London Luton Airport on Saturday, May 17th at around 13:45 hours and on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to put his life at risk,” police said in a statement.
“The arrest was made by an anti-terrorist officer from a special operations force in the Eastern Region. The man was taken to police detention in London.”
“all [the fires] Due to previous ties to famous celebrities, officers of the Met counterterrorism command led the fire investigation. ”
It is alongside a fire at the Kentish Town North London star family home, which is understood to have been renting since entering Downing Street last year.
At a hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court on Friday, Lovelinovich was taken into custody prior to a hearing at Old Bailey on June 6th. He was first arrested Tuesday.
His legal team did not request bail.
Prosecutor Sarah Pruj Birska told the court that his alleged violations were currently “unexplained.”
Przybylska said that Lavrynovych denied the arson when he was interviewed with caution. She claimed he used the “accelerator” to launch the fire.
Lavrynovych spoke only to confirm his identity and proceeded to the process translated for him by a Ukrainian interpreter.
