Hundreds of people who have purchased a packaged trader Joe salad may be at risk of unconsciously allergic reactions to cheese in their meals instead of onions.

According to a recall from the business, certain packages of sesame flavored o salad with salmon may contain undeclared milk allergens.

According to the recall, about 500 units of salad are incorrectly packaged in sealed packets of Parmesan cheese crumble.

Although no adverse health effects have been reported, people with lactose tolerance may experience bloating, diarrhea, gas, abdominal pain, cramps, or nausea after accidentally eating labeled food.

FDA issues emergency national recalls of breaks sold in the US found in “glass fragments”

Those who purchased the salad should check to make sure the “Use” code is not listed on April 28, 2025 or April 29, 2025.

The salads were sold in 18 states, including Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Salads eligible for recalls can be returned to nearby Trader Joe’s store for a full refund.
