Ind Pack tension: Delhi International Airport Limited (dial) on Sunday said operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport remained normal, but warned that continued airspace restrictions and enhanced security protocols could lead to some flights facing disruption.
Flyers may experience longer latency at security checkpoints as the Civil Aviation Security Agency (BCAS) implements more stringent screening procedures.
The dial encourages all passengers to arrive much earlier than scheduled flight times, taking into account potential delays during the security process. “The flyers are required to rely solely on official sources for accurate information and avoid sharing unverified content on social media,” the airport operator said in a post on X.
The enhanced security arrangements first introduced due to the recent escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan continue to be effective as a precaution. This comes despite reaching understanding of the ceasefire on Saturday following calls between military officials from both countries. However, the uncertainty persists as Islamabad reportedly violated the ceasefire shortly after its announcement.
