happy new year! Some have noticed a lull in content over the past month. Well, don’t be afraid.
But boy, last month was blurry –
-
The baby was at home for 9 calendar days on RSV
-
My wife had to leave town on two weekends while I gave birth to a child
-
Added 15 hours per week to 9-5 to get the project back on track
-
Trading accounts hit unexpected margin calls and need to be reorganized about them.
-
Christmas – Should I say more?
-
All the children were at home between the 23rd and 29th – no childcare, school, no activities, no rainy weather
All the extra weights that have been drooping this month have only one reasonable conclusion. 500 Word OP/EDS and social media posts were necessary to take the back seat.
Prioritizing life
Scott Galloway There are great quotes on the balance of work and driving success.
You can have it all – you can’t just take it at once.
That’s not true. There are 24 hours a day. You need to sleep for six of them. Then 11 hours of work, four more feeding, clothes, ferrying the kids to their destination, and finally doing a week’s bedtime routine ballet show, and won’t leave in the tank for free blog posts and meme accounts.
But what do you know? that’s ok. You can’t expect to do it all, and anyone who says otherwise is either lying or secretly lying on the crisis of a nervous breakdown.
Trying to do too much, or trying to make yourself too high and standard is a surefire way to burn out and torn apart everything. It’s simply insane to prioritize side gigs over the pressures of your family, your main work, and your daily life. It’s not that people don’t do that anyway.
2025 and later
I think I owe the world a previously recorded December publication. After finishing The final part of the podcast and municipal bond issuance debate. They will be made public soon.
The backlog is unbearable, and 2025 is set for the whole year. You see some themes to help us move forward –
-
Re-reading and reviewing some classic Wall Street literature and mythology.
-
More products in the store. People seem to like hats!
-
Podcasts continue with the towing of trustworthy sidekicks
-
Memes and X will be posted everywhere
-
If time allows, some bonus special production may drop.
So I haven’t left. I’m just pacing myself.
